On November 10, 2025, the Christian Book Proposals (CBP) site was closed to new accounts and purchases as we make preparations to end the service later this year. If you have an existing account with an active proposal that you would like to submit, you can still log in and do so until August 10, 2026. Publishers and agents will be able to access the database for six (6) months after receipt of any final proposals, after which point the service and database will be fully closed.

For all prospective writers, we recommend the following resources:

1. Pathway to Publication, a book by Linda Taylor that details options for pursuing publication of your book.
2. Christian Writers Market Guide 2026, by Steve Laube, which suggests routes for submitting proposals, making inquiries and more.
3. Christian writers conferences such as Write to Publish, The Taylor University Professional Writers Conference, the Blue Ridge Christian Writers Conference, Publishing in Color,  and others.
4. The Writer’s Edge, a service similar to Christian Book Proposals that you can find at WritersEdgeService.com.
5. Tawny Johnson, the Christian Book Proposals professional who developed proposal reports and met with prospective authors for many years remains available to you in independent of CBP.
