Surrey International Writers Conference

The Surrey International Writers’ Conference, held every October in British Columbia, is the most comprehensive professional development conference of its kind in Canada. SiWC offers writers in all genres — from beginners to experts — the opportunity both to hone their craft and to expose their work to the international literary marketplace.

The Surrey International Writers’ Conference is a workshop-based conference designed to make you a better writer and help you get published. If you’re already published, this is the place to hone your skills, learn more about markets and network for future sales. It runs 3 days every October. Friday and Saturday are full days, and Sunday events wrap-up in the early afternoon.

Pre-Conference Master Classes are held the day before the main conference opens, the Thursday of the conference week. Master Classes are presented as an advanced study option and if you choose to, you can sign up for them as an add-on when you register for the conference.
