Karlitos 2017 Worship & Arts Conference
July 13, 2017 - July 15, 2017
The Karitos Christian Arts Association has selected Creative Gifts, Global Impact as the theme for its 2017 worship and arts conference. The conference will be held July 13-15 at North Central College in Naperville, IL. This year’s theme reflects the growing importance of the the arts in reaching the world for Christ.
Karitos has something for anyone who is serious about glorifying God through their gifts, with workshops in music, film, dance, visual arts, theater, literary arts and worship. The organizers say that two things stood out during their planning sessions: “Fresh Oil” and “New Wine.” Fresh Oil for those who have grown weary or faced opposition in the pursuit of their craft. New Wine for artists in the early stages of their career.
The forty-member faculty, a blend of Karitos favorites and exciting new faces, includes Randall Flinn and Ad Deum Dance Company, Vivien Hibbert, Howi Tiller, Bob and Jayne Farrell, Jon Jones, Mimi Sagadin, J. Scott McElroy and Tania Runyan to name a few.
Karitos offers opportunities for attendees to not only grow in their gifts and talents but also to share their talents with others. These include a film master class, critique sessions in several disciplines, an art gallery, a ministry showcase and a late-night open mic on Thursday and Friday evenings.
